Who Benifits?

The kids who participate in our annual Kiwanis Bike Rodeo and Family Safety Day, receiving safety instruction and free bike helmets

The school kids in Katrina-devastated Mississippi and Louisiana who have received over 1,000,000 books collected by our Kiwanis Club – the largest book drive by any one organization in the USA 

Kids in need at Washington School (Springfield) who benefit from our Community Partnership with the school – with the help of business and other non-profit organizations, Kiwanis has provided them with a large volume of school supplies and other items
 
High school seniors who, since 1964, have received Kiwanis scholarships based upon academic achievement, community involvement, and financial need

Kids in need at Washington, Kensington Avenue and White Street Elementary schools who have received hats, coats and mittens – thanks primarily to our Key Clubs in conjunction with Kiwanis
 
Kids that have benefited from tutoring and mentoring by Kiwanians at Washington, Kensington Avenue, Indian Orchard and Talmadge schools
 
Kids in many elementary schools throughout the city who have listened to Kiwanis readers in the School Volunteer Read Aloud Program – Kiwanis is one of the leaders in supplying readers!

Kids in the 5th grade in several schools who have heard some Kiwanians share their growing up years in Springfield’s School Volunteer Living History Program – the kids love it!

Kids and their families (25) who receive Thanksgiving baskets with turkey and all the fixins’ – supplied by Kiwanis and members of all our Key Clubs

The homeless children and their families that are fed each month by Kiwanis and Key Club in conjunction with the Open Pantry
